Bentley has just put its signature on another way of luxury city travel, completely different from what it is known for.
The British car manufacturer, in collaboration with "The Surgeon", a design team based in Los Angeles, created a limited series of sneakers for selected customers.
The collaboration includes 10 custom pairs of adidas Forum Low sneakers that have unfortunately already been reserved by customers and Bentley collectors. The brand also plans to unveil a one-of-a-kind Mulliner model, designed in collaboration with The Surgeon, at Art Basel in Miami this December, and the buyer of the car will also receive a pair of collectible sneakers.
Each sneaker model in the collection includes design features that are hallmarks of the Bentley brand, including the emblem, cross-stitching that we normally see on the steering wheels of their cars, premium leather and other materials that reflect what the four-wheeler manufacturer uses to create the luxurious interiors of its models. Everything is completed with the skull and scalpel logo of Domenic «The Shoe Surgeon» Ciambrone, which gives every pair a street style effect.
The sneakers are designed to be a wearable extension of Bentley luxury cars. The matching Mulliner sneakers, for example, will be made in Beluga (black) and Anthracite (dark gray metallic). Similar colors are used on select sneakers to match Bently's premium automotive design.
Surgeon Studios is known for its handcrafted sneakers, which include everything from Nike Dunks to designer models. The company also offers apparel and footwear collaborations on its site. "Creativity and custom design have been firmly woven into our DNA since 1919, particularly at Mulliner's private coachbuilding division," said Christophe Georges, Chairman and CEO of Bentley.
While the sneakers aren't available, as we mentioned, you can see the entire collection and learn more about its creation on Bentley's website.
