Giorgio Armani and Kith have teamed up for the Fall/Winter 2024 collection, presenting a collaborative menswear line called The Archetype...
This partnership encompasses four capsules, each offering unique silhouettes, and legendary director Martin Scorsese leads the campaign, making it a perfect union of fashion and art.
Ronie Fieg, founder of Kith, explains that the collection was born out of a desire to honor the essence of the suit, which is inseparable from the name Giorgio Armani. “To me, ‘suit’ and ‘Giorgio Armani’ are synonymous,” says Fieg. The concept of The Archetype came from Fieg’s wish to represent men who have been inspired by Armani’s work, and Martin Scorsese, the iconic filmmaker, perfectly fits this vision.
The first capsule, titled The Artist, showcases dark and elegant attire, with a focus on refined suits. The centerpiece is a double-breasted suit made of black virgin wool, embodying the sophisticated simplicity for which Armani is known. The suit is accompanied by pieces like trench coats, bomber jackets, and layered items such as zip-up sweaters, cashmere-silk turtlenecks, and quilted vests.
It’s no coincidence that Scorsese is the face of this campaign. He has been a longtime collaborator with Armani, even directing the documentary Made in Milan, which explores the life of the famous designer. Both Scorsese and Fieg also share a deep connection to New York, which serves as the core of their creative expression.
The campaign also includes accessories, featuring monogrammed leather bags, boucle and knit scarves, and a stylish beanie. The combination of tailoring and modern sensibility makes The Archetype collection a must-have for the rest of the season.
With its simple yet powerful design, the Giorgio Armani x Kith collection showcases timeless elegance that makes a lasting impression in the world of modern fashion.
