Versace Spring/Summer 2025: A Collision of Decadence, Denim, and Defiance

In its Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, Versace delivers an unapologetic manifesto—sumptuous, rebellious, and uncompromising to the core.

Lensed by photographer Zoe Ghertner, the brand’s universe takes on a neoclassical form, drenched in prints, washed-out denim, and the ever-present iconography of the Medusa—floating somewhere between myth and modernity.

Fronting the campaign are Fernando Casablancas, Luke Champion, and Kajus Puronas, clad in Japanese denim washed to soft, faded tones and marked by vintage creases—a nod to Americana road-wear romanticism. The silhouettes are loose, liberated, and artfully disheveled—as though gliding between eras, cults, and street legends.

At the center of the visual narrative is the Medusa Cameo print—a reimagining of Versace’s mythic motif and its baroque DNA, now rendered in intaglio-like impressions on silk shirts and sharply tailored suits. Counterbalancing this are Wild Poppies—florals in defiance, clashing with geometric knits and botanical trousers, curated into a visual crescendo only Versace can orchestrate with such commanding elegance.

The collection thrives on tension: buttoned-up versus undone, clean lines versus deliberate excess. It’s as if Mediterranean marble statues have stepped out of their pedestals and are now striding in crumpled denim and leather boots. This isn’t a brand begging for subtlety—it’s one demanding permanence.

The campaign’s aesthetic is a dialogue of dualities—ornament versus wearability, sculpture versus skin, nostalgia versus provocation. Each scene feels plucked from an endless stage play where fashion is not mere clothing but a declaration, a stance, an identity.

Versace imprints its codes—literally—onto fabrics, leather, and attitude. Denim, that symbol of the everyday, is elevated to the realm of baroque spectacle, becoming the unlikely stage for a revolution wrapped in opulence.

With this collection, Versace sends a crystal-clear message: beauty, in its most maximal form, always finds a way to return—fierce, sensual, and utterly unforgettable.
