Have you ever tasted a drink that was so good you thought, “I want to spray this all over my body so I can smell like it all day?” If the answer is no, we understand you.
But New Hampshire's Tamworth Distilling has come up with a mist gin they think is good enough to sip or spritz, called Tamworth Garden Sylvan Mist Gin.
Tamworth distilleries are no strangers to unconventional spirits. The distillery was founded by Stephen Grass, who was instrumental in creating successful brands such as Hendrick's Gin and Sailor Jerry Rum.
You can spritz it on you cocktail, or you can spritz it on yourself. https://t.co/29cnBlHzl9

Sylvan Mist Gin sounds like a joke, but it's the real deal. According to the brand, the inspiration came from ancient Egyptian perfume, which later led to the invention of alcoholic beverages by the Persians. To create a gin that is also a perfume, the team infused essential oils into high proof alcohol. The two main ingredients are boronia flower and violet leaf, which are found in many inedible perfumes. Other herbs used for flavouring include balsam fir, citrus peel, chamomile, grapefruit, and of course juniper (it is gin, after all). It comes in a 100ml glass bottle with a spray pump and is meant to be a unisex fragrance or cocktail modifier - but use it sparingly as the ABV is very high - 75.5 percent.
