Cuvee Karma from the Belgian winery Victor & Charles comes in a unique bottle decorated with a real diamond, which is of course part of a limited edition of only 1000 bottles…
With the aim of creating his own cuvee de prestige, Filip Mertens – founder of the Belgian winery Victor & Charles – worked with the WeWantMore design studio to design the packaging. Called Karma, the champagne comes in an opaque bottle with a lotus-inspired decoration on the front. Rose gold ornaments (Applic'Etains) are made of pewter. Three pewter labels, hand-placed on each bottle, feature intricate embossed designs.
The brand logo in the middle of each bottle is decorated with a single diamond. "Coming from Antwerp, the diamond capital of the world, I was inspired to integrate a certified diamond into the packaging design," says Mertens. Each bottle comes with a certificate issued by HRD Antwerp to ensure the authenticity of the gemstone.
Cuvee Karma is a dosage zero Champagne – meaning it contains less than 3 grams of sugar per liter – and blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The bottle is closed with a cork stopper (Prioux) and a rose gold capsule (Vipalux), comes in a cardboard box, personalized with copper accents and a custom sleeve. One bottle of this champagne will cost you €549.
