The Madama Butterfly collection, a true symbol of the creative and innovative spirit of the Glamora brand, brings a fresh approach to the world of wall coverings...

Inspired by the opera of the same name by Giacomo Puccini, this collection balances between compositional freedom and rigorous geometry, between logic and emotion, creating wall coverings that reflect the art and essence of Puccini's work.

The Madama Butterfly collection includes five themes, each named after the most poetic verses from Puccini’s opera: Dolci Voli Dell'Amor, Un Bel Dì Vedremo, Al Primo Incontro, Confin Del Mare, and Addio Fiorito. Ironically, Puccini himself lived from 1887 to 1900 in the very building in Milan where the Glamora showroom now stands, where he composed some of his most famous works, such as Tosca, La Bohème, and Manon Lescaut.

In creating the Madama Butterfly collection, Glamora has surpassed traditional boundaries of wall decoration, using a rich combination of materials such as birch, raffia, cork, velvet, linen, and viscose. Blended through the brand’s signature style, these materials shape a palette of natural tones, creating a warm, harmonious ambiance.

The collection represents a unique architectural solution that expresses style, creativity, and innovation, subtly fusing different cultures. It provides a sense of calm and elegance, reflecting the encounter between East and West, modern and traditional. It also gives designers great freedom in decorating spaces, with various materials and effects that bring a completely new feel to interiors.

As a testament to its quality and uniqueness, the Madama Butterfly collection has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2024, a prestigious publication that gathers the best examples of Italian design and qualifies them for the Premio Compasso d'Oro ADI 2026 award.
