Dubai to Build First Floating Police Station – The Future of Marine Security

Dubai, a city that constantly pushes the boundaries of innovation, has unveiled its latest project – a floating smart police station (SPS).

After successfully launching the world’s first sustainable fire station on the water, Dubai is now expanding its vision of water safety by creating a futuristic hub that utilizes artificial intelligence and advanced robotics. This ambitious project is part of strategic investments totaling $544 million, as announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The new police station is set to be operational by the end of 2026, offering services to yacht owners, boaters, and water sports enthusiasts. With 27 core services, such as reporting criminal and traffic incidents, and an additional 33 services available in six languages, this center will become an essential point for maritime users. From locating lost items to issuing permits, all services will be available 24/7, thanks to the integration of advanced technologies.

The SPS is designed in the style of a catamaran, allowing for quick and easy docking of boats and yachts. This practical and aesthetically pleasing concept aims to enhance the user experience, streamlining the process of arrival, boarding, and disembarking.

The smart station draws inspiration from the success of the floating fire station, which achieved a response time of just four minutes and was 70% more cost-effective than traditional marine stations. The goal of the SPS is to set even higher standards, offering efficiency and speed while reducing costs.

Dubai continues to raise the quality of life for its residents and visitors, relying on its reputation as the world’s smartest and happiest city. This floating police station further solidifies the city’s commitment to innovation and security, providing unique support to all who enjoy its luxurious waters.

So, if you happen to lose a valuable item, like a luxury watch, while enjoying your superyacht, don’t worry – Dubai is ready to assist you, now on the water.
