Stephan Maria Lang Architects proudly presents House LW27, a residence located in Munich characterized by a beautiful rooftop garden...
In a prestigious residential area of the city, a large residence had to be constructed on a relatively small space. Given that part of the plan included a large outdoor pool, this interestingly designed house did not have much space for a garden, which is why it found its place on the roof.
The side borders are hidden by a series of newly planted canopy trees, providing natural sun protection. On the ground level, an open floor plan flows freely from east to west along the pool. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for indoor and outdoor living throughout the year.
The upper floor features a sleeping area with ensuite bathrooms for each room and separate dressing areas, as well as a lush rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi reserved for hardworking parents.
A carefully crafted sensual minimalist atmosphere was created with great attention paid to natural and artificial lighting, including a unique light feature in the entrance designed and handcrafted by the world-renowned Austrian brand Bartenbach.
