If you've ever yearned to escape the crowds, concrete, and towering buildings, the Chalet Il Gufo is the perfect choice for you...
Works on the Chalet Il Gufo, a project by the Architectural Studio Bettiol from Aosta and realized by the Interior contractor Concreta, have recently been completed. The result is a luxurious chalet nestled in the renowned and refined mountain resort of Cervinia. In line with the concept and design, the Interior contractor Concreta worked on the construction of the structure, born from the client's desire as a synonym for refinement and elegance in terms of the quality of materials used, providing a higher level of comfort.
The client's vision was to create an accommodation facility that evoked the feeling of staying in a private home while simultaneously being functional to accommodate guests with entertainment areas, such as a playroom and relaxation zones, a spa corner, and a pool.
The Chalet spans four levels including the basement, where we find the indoor pool area with a complete SPA and a Turkish bath. This space is separated from the other rooms by glass doors. In the basement, there is also a playroom, with a bar area and a bathroom, a cinema area, and a ski room for equipment storage, with direct access from the SKI-IN SKI-OUT slope, characterized by full-wall closets and a bench of gray wood located in the center of the room. A special feature of the playroom is the presence of hidden doors, designed to resemble an old advertising poster. In front of the spa section, an outdoor terrace welcomes an additional lounge area next to the ski slope overlooking Cervino, where there is a jacuzzi and a relaxation area with a fireplace.
The ground floor of the house contains conventional rooms and communicates with the outdoor area where there is a seating area to enjoy the beauty of the stream that flows parallel to the property and the forest that surrounds it. Guests are welcomed at the entrance to the chalet in a warm environment with a cozy atmosphere. Every detail is carefully chosen, from the selection of furniture to decorative accessories and finishes, specially designed to enhance the well-being of the occupants.
The Chalet Il Gufo is characterized by a unique style, sometimes Nordic, expressed in shades of gray and dark colors. While natural wood remains the primary material used, characterized by its classicism, typical of mountain private residences, it has been processed and treated to achieve certain colors. The floors and stairs are made of oak with a smoked finish, while the beam coverings and part of the furniture are made of fir, with a specific finish called carbon gray.
The living area is divided into a dining area and a relaxation space. A special feature of the living room is the centrality of the fireplace, which creates an atmosphere and makes the space warm and inviting. The dining area is dominated by a table enhanced by a suspended lighting system that combines functionality, illuminating the space, with aesthetics, in a decorative vision.
The kitchen boasts a prominent central element - a intricately designed island. The upper elements are made with a specific lacquering, while the walls are covered with decorative tiles reminiscent of old Italian style.
On the first floor of the lodge, there are four guest rooms and a gallery open to the lower living room. This latter is used as a relaxation area, where the bar is the protagonist accompanied by a seating area with wooden chairs and tables. A glass balustrade illuminates the gallery and allows viewing of the living area below. The guest rooms include 4 double rooms with private bathrooms, including two doubles and two twins. One of the characteristics of this part, at the owner's request, is that each room is completely different from the others in terms of layout, materials, and sensations it conveys.
The top floor contains the master bedroom and the children's room. Upon arrival on the floor, you are greeted by an alcove, carved into a wooden niche, in front of a window that allows not only to illuminate the floor but to enjoy the external view of the Cervino that characterizes the structure. Also, on this floor, all the rooms are unique, carefully studied, embellished by the exposed wooden ceiling that offers a unique height.
Characteristic of the master bedroom are the mix of wall coverings, where wood frames the imposing headboard wall covered with full-height padding that makes the environment special and unique. Inside, there is also a walk-in closet that communicates through frosted glass with the master bathroom, which also provides natural light in this area, and the private bathroom with classic and retro notes, where there are both a bathtub and a shower. The children's room has been designed to be multidimensional in the name of leisure. In addition to the bunk beds on the floor, children can play on a climbing wall and reach the "den," a secret mezzanine above the entrance to the room.
The Chalet Il Gufo is the result of synergy between the design phase of Bettiol Architecture Studio and the realization of the interior contractor Concreta, capable of responding to the client's requests and expectations.
