An influencer parked a $3 million Bugatti Chiron on the deck of a $25 million superyacht and sailed to Monaco to watch the Grand Prix in ultimate style...
Monaco, the second smallest country in the world, is renowned for its wealth and luxury. With no income tax for residents, it boasts one of the highest concentrations of millionaires and billionaires. It's one of the few places on the planet where a standard Bugatti Chiron might not stand out, especially during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, when the small city-state on the French Riviera fills with some of the wealthiest and most influential people from around the globe. However, someone found a clever way to make a Bugatti Chiron one of the most noticed cars during this year’s Monaco Grand Prix, scheduled for this weekend. Filmmaker Tom Claeren, in partnership with Libertex Europe Official and Boutsen Classic Cars, parked the Chiron on the deck of a superyacht.
Sailing and Formula 1 have been deeply intertwined for the nine decades of the Monaco Grand Prix, with the city's harbor offering some of the best views of the track. The wealthiest motorsport enthusiasts attending the event often prefer to avoid the grandstands and enjoy the race from their yachts moored next to the street circuit. In fact, billionaires often compete to have the biggest superyacht with the most glamorous parties during the racing weekend.
This year, Tom Claeren aims to make the luxurious superyacht named “Seven Sins” the talk of the town by parking a multi-million dollar hypercar on board. Placing a rare and ultra-expensive car on a superyacht deck is no easy feat. Claeren documented the entire process through pictures and videos, posting them on Instagram with the caption: “See you in #Monaco.”
A team of highly trained individuals used a crane to lift the Bugatti Chiron, dressed in its signature French racing blue, and carefully place it on the rear deck of the superyacht. As seen in the photos, a special frame had to be constructed to support the hypercar on the vessel and display it as the centerpiece. It’s no surprise that Claeren calls this the “Ultimate F12 Superyacht.”
Seven Sins was built in 2017 at the Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo and has won multiple awards. Measuring 52 meters in length, the yacht features an interior design by Balo. It is available for charter at a price of $300,000 per week and can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins, including a master suite on the main deck, one VIP cabin, and two twin cabins. This isn't the first time Claeren has pulled off such a stunt. At last year’s Monaco Grand Prix, he collaborated with Car & Car Italy and Altr to showcase a real Ferrari F40 on a superyacht to celebrate the 80th anniversary of this legendary race.
