At the heart of this bespoke commission lies the Gallery, an intricate display spanning the entire fascia of the vehicle’s interior. Here, 297 meticulously handcrafted wooden pieces come together in a breathtaking marquetry design. This artwork vividly depicts two dragons intertwined within a sea of swirling clouds, guarding a pearl that serves as a symbol of purity and enlightenment.

Inspired by an Ancient Legend

The design takes inspiration from a 3,000-year-old Chinese tale about two dragons who were rewarded with a divine pearl for their virtuous deeds. Demonstrating profound humility and mutual respect, the dragons deferred the pearl to one another, symbolizing generosity, kindness, and balance. This selfless act moved the gods to reward them with a second pearl, granting them immortality and elevating them to divine status.

This tale encapsulates the harmonious interplay of Yin and Yang, the complementary forces of existence, with the pearl symbolizing enlightenment, perfection, and spiritual fulfillment. The Phantom Dragon reflects these values through its thoughtful design, merging tradition with modern luxury.

High-gloss Smoked Eucalyptus veneer graces the surfaces, while natural open-pore wood on the Canadel door panels adds a touch of organic elegance. The Serenity seats, upholstered in Ardent Red and black leather, offer a striking contrast, further enhanced by the client’s family name delicately embroidered onto the headrests in traditional Chinese calligraphy.
