NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal is well known for his love of personalized cars that match his larger-than-life personality...
The latest addition to his impressive car collection is the world’s first widebody carbon Tesla Cybertruck, customized by California-based Effortless Motors. This one-of-a-kind Cybertruck features a sleek black exterior, a carbon fiber body kit, and massive wheels. Interestingly, Shaq got the idea for this "beastly" truck from LeBron James, who was the first to contact Effortless for a custom Cybertruck. After realizing that Tesla’s electric truck was big enough to fit his towering 7-foot-plus frame, Shaq immediately decided to get one for himself.
Effortless Motors delivered what they called the Cyberbeast to Shaq’s Las Vegas villa 12 months ahead of schedule. A video of the delivery was posted on Instagram, where an excited Shaq can be heard saying, "I have to admit, I’ve got the cleanest Cybertruck in the country." This custom truck grabbed a lot of attention online, including from Elon Musk, who shared photos of Shaq’s model on social media platform X.
The Cyberbeast features an all-black exterior with a glossy finish, giving it a sci-fi movie vibe. Massive extended carbon fiber fenders are necessary to accommodate the enormous 26-inch wheels. The truck is also equipped with color-changing LED strips on the front, along with underbody lighting, adding to its beastly appearance. While the interior hasn’t been significantly altered, it's expected that Shaq will soon make further customizations.
Although the exact specs of the Cyberbeast are unknown, Shaq has also ordered a second Cybertruck in the top-tier tri-motor version, capable of producing 845 horsepower. Despite its large size, this electric truck can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, making it a true beast on the road.
This isn’t the first time the NBA superstar has customized a car to accommodate his height. It all started back in 1995 with a Ferrari F355 Spider, which was heavily modified to fit his frame. Years later, he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to stretch a Lamborghini Gallardo by an extra meter, so he could comfortably drive the Italian supercar.
