In the early hours of Monday, the Louis Vuitton store in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, located in Paris' 6th arrondissement, became the target of a daring robbery...

Four thieves used a vehicle as a battering ram to break into the store, making off with hundreds of luxury items, with an estimated value of several hundred thousand euros.

According to a report by Actu17, the thieves managed to break down the store's entrance around 4:30 AM, and the robbery wasn’t discovered until two hours later, at 6:30 AM, giving them ample time to collect valuable items. The police quickly arrived at the scene, including members of the 3rd District Police and the Anti-Banditry Brigade, which is now leading the investigation.

Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a luxurious Parisian neighborhood, is home to many prestigious brands like Hermès, Cartier, and Dior, making it an attractive target for thieves. Louis Vuitton stores, in particular, have often been targets of high-profile robberies, not just in Paris but around the world.

This isn’t the first time Louis Vuitton stores have been hit by such robberies. In 2021, thieves stole goods worth $100,000 from a store in Chicago, while a similar robbery in San Francisco allowed the thieves to escape before the police arrived. The store in London was robbed three times between 2014 and 2017.

Despite the magnitude of the robbery, the store seems to have resumed operations quickly, as the official LV website already offers appointments for customers.
