They are named after flowers, wood and other natural elements: sakura (pink), suo (red), tachibana (orange), nanohana (mustard), wakamidori (bright green), naeiro (dark green), tokiwa midori (grass green), wasurengausa (forget-me-not), ruri (lapis lazuli), kikyo (Japanese bell flower) and fuji (wisteria).
