A German three-year-old, Lorent Schwartz, has captured the attention of the art world with his vibrant, abstract creations, earning him the nickname “Little Picasso”...
His paintings, which enchant with their colorful randomness, are selling for around $15,000 each, and there are even 20,000 people on a waiting list to see or buy one of his pieces.
In his short career, Lorent has sold around 30 paintings, with one of his most famous works, titled The Fingers, being valued at a staggering $325,000. The painting, a mix of red, yellow, and blue, has won the hearts of art lovers worldwide. His Instagram profile already boasts nearly 90,000 followers, and he receives fan mail daily, with some people even showing up at their doorstep to see the work of this extraordinary artist.
Lorent’s mother, Lisa, discovered his talent quite by accident during a vacation in Italy last year, when her son refused to leave the children’s painting room. Working with acrylic paints on canvas, Lorent created paintings that caught the attention of art critics, with one New York critic describing his work as "exceptionally talented." Due to high demand, Lorent’s works have been exhibited in galleries from Britain to the Bahamas, and a New York gallery offered him his first exhibition at just two years old.
All proceeds from the sale of his artwork have been placed in a special account that Lorent will have access to when he turns 18. His mother says they never forced him to paint – whenever he felt inspired, he would return to his small studio at home, but there were times when he wouldn’t paint for weeks.
This story proves that art truly comes from the heart, and who better to understand that than a child?
