This entrepreneur, a tech mogul and founder of med-tech company Analyte Health, wanted an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak and was unwilling to settle for anything less than a private jet delivery. Pirani partnered with Amalfi Jets, which fulfilled his extravagant wish by flying a private jet 1,400 miles from Philadelphia to Houston. The story quickly went viral after a TikTok video posted by Amalfi Jets showcased this outrageous luxury request.
A $17 cheesesteak with a $32,000 price tag
His order? A classic Philly cheesesteak with extra cheese, fries, and delivery before dinner. The chosen restaurant? Pat’s King of Steaks, an iconic eatery known for making some of the best cheesesteaks since 1930. The delivery method? A Hawker 850XP, a mid-size business jet renowned for comfort and efficiency.
The flight lasted a few hours, but the cost was astonishing – it consumed 1,500 gallons of fuel and emitted 14.36 metric tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere, all for a single sandwich.
From humble beginnings to extravagant indulgences
Pirani wasn’t always wealthy. His parents worked modest jobs at cafés and gas stations to provide him with a better education.
“I grew up around wealth, but I felt like an outsider because I didn’t have any of it,” Pirani admitted.
Today, he lives in a Houston penthouse equipped with a private hairdresser and even a Moët champagne vending machine, proving he has moved far beyond those early struggles.
