British motorcycle brand Triumph and Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling have announced a new collaboration, merging their shared passion for precise engineering, performance, and style…
The partnership between these two brands has resulted in a limited edition Speed Triple 1200 RR motorcycle and a matching Chronomat B01 42 watch. Starting with the limited edition watch, it carries the same serial number as the corresponding Triumph motorcycle. Since its debut in 1984, the Breitling Chronomat has become one of the most beloved and successful collections in the brand's portfolio, known for its reliability, functionality, and style. Breitling enthusiasts may recall that the Swiss brand revamped the Chronomat B01 42 collection in 2020.
The limited edition Chronomat B01 42 Triumph watch features a distinctive look inspired by Triumph's retro-modern superbike. The watch combines titanium and 18k red gold, complemented by an anthracite dial. The gold accents on the watch visually pay homage to the Öhlins front forks found on the Speed Triple 1200 RR. The Triumph logo is located on the lower part of the second hand. The watch is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 movement, which offers a power reserve of 70 hours.
Instead of the usual metal bracelet, the Chronomat B01 42 Triumph watch is equipped with a perforated brown alligator leather strap, capturing the essence of "freedom on the open road" and motorcycling. Additionally, the case back is engraved with the unique number of the corresponding motorcycle. "The Chronomat and Speed Triple 1200 RR represent our shared commitment to the highest standards of design and performance," said Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. "With Triumph, we share a robust spirit that combines art with adventure."
The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR Breitling Limited Edition features many special details that set it apart from the standard version. Limited to only 270 individually numbered models worldwide, the motorcycle boasts a special color scheme with premium gold hand-painted details, a leather seat with French stitching, an exclusive Akrapovič exhaust, and ultra-light carbon fiber components. Additionally, the digital display has a customized Breitling startup screen, while the Breitling logo is laser-etched onto the machined finish of the rear wheel.
The Swiss watchmaker's logo also appears on the fuel tank. The serial number is engraved on the top of the motorcycle's yoke. "By teaming up with Breitling, we have merged two worlds, bringing our shared passion for precision, speed, and impeccable style," added Nick Bloor, CEO of Triumph. The price of the limited edition motorcycle is £22,995 (~$30,000). However, the price of the corresponding Chronomat B01 42 watch has not yet been announced.
