When you've seen enough of this world, change your perspective, and everything will be new again...
Swiss company Ulyssia Residence AG and renowned yacht designer Espen Øino provide a unique opportunity for a life full of travel and luxury aboard a vessel that surpasses the mighty Titanic in size. The superyacht Ulyssia, with its 132 lavish apartments, represents a 1,050-foot floating palace that combines the concept of travel and staying at home. The chicest ports and the most beautiful places become your regular destinations, including the most remote parts of the planet.
Inside, your world will be complete with amenities such as a theater, library, various pools, and rooms with panoramic views of the underwater world. The yacht will also include a hospital, a large wine collection, several restaurants, a fully equipped yacht club, marina, diving center, and submarines for endless entertainment in your natural surroundings.
The main question, however, remains the accommodation that will become the core of your nautical life. The apartments range from 166 square meters to over 1,400 square meters, with configurations from one to six bedrooms. The spacious apartments include reception rooms, open-plan kitchens, and terraces for uninterrupted views.
For extended family use, 13 guest cabins are available. According to the Daily Mail, Ulyssia residents can take a 50-year lease to stay on the yacht and will have two helicopters at their disposal for trips to the mainland. To make the space feel more like home and represent the refined taste of the owners, they can choose from eight exceptional design options or customize their interiors.
"All residents have something in common. They want to travel, they are curious, they are adventurers," explained Alain Gruber, CEO of Ulyssia Residences. "But after that, they split into these subgroups. You have food lovers, divers, sailors, art collectors, people interested in reading and literary clubs – all these subcommittees will start to form on board and create a real sense of community."
Health and fitness are of utmost importance when planning to be a sea community for weeks on end. The Swiss company Chenot will take care of the spa, sports and fitness center, and dental care.
The medical facility mentioned above will have the latest, high-quality equipment such as X-rays, MRI, CT scanners, endoscopic and ultrasound equipment. With a 50-year lease, any of these services could be needed at any time.
Alain Gruber, CEO of Ulyssia Residences AG, said: "The concept behind Ulyssia is to travel the world – but from your home. Every day you can go out and discover new destinations around the world, but in the evening you can return to your family within your own four walls." Ulyssia will be equipped with hybrid propulsion systems and will run on methanol to reduce emissions. It will also rely on batteries and solar panels. Apartment prices have not been disclosed, but construction begins this year with delivery expected in October 2028.
