THE SKY IS THE LIMIT

Ready for new adventures and exploring the charming island of Lošinj, we jump into the new BMW 440i, and embark on an extravagant journey!

Leaving our capital, we lower the roof and while the wind ruffles our hair, we get the message that we have scheduled a "Spring Rendezvous" with Christian Kuchler, a top Swiss Chef with two Michelin stars and 18 Gault & Millau culinary caps. It sounds exotic and we are looking forward to the refined Boutique Hotel Alhambra, which is ranked in the top 10 best hotels in Europe!

We instantly close the roof and discover the miraculous power of the spacious four-seater convertible - the first BMW 4 Series model from the luxury segment of the renowned car manufacturer, enhanced by the M equipment package, which accentuates every kilometre travelled to our desired destination. In just seven hours, we arrive in the fairy-tale bay of Čikat, where a complete atmosphere teases all our senses. We are staying at the Hotel Alhambra, which belongs to the prestigious chain of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Virtuoso. We were warmly welcomed and hosted by the CEO of this luxury group Lošinj Hotels & Villas, the charismatic Peter Schoch. The same evening we enjoyed the picturesque bay with the glistening turquoise sea, which welcomed us to the beginning of this sensational event with the welcome "Meet the Muses".

Spring Rendezvous Extravaganza is a prestigious event specially designed only for the "chosen" who celebrate life and enjoy all their senses, this time in gastronomic magic prepared by the whole team led by the culinary magician Christian Kuchler, as well as wellness rituals designed especially for the Alhambra by the charming Melissa Mettler.

Under a veil of secrecy, the next evening a Mystery Dinner was organized at a hidden location. We pulled out a card, our "Dame", which was the ticket to this enigmatic secret dinner.

Just before dinner, in a posh style, we decided to explore the island with our BMW 440i, with the roof down. The sunroof opens automatically in just 18 seconds and slides behind the rear seats into the upper boot. Since we like to live dynamically and on the move, the convertible followed our rhythm, so we could open and close the roof while driving, at speeds up to 40km/h.

With wonderful weather, while the sky smiled at us and the wind teased us, we enjoyed the smell of pine trees, the sea air, the sound of the waves and the incredibly powerful sound of the engine. With each touch of the gas pedal, these butterflies in the stomach flew, intensifying the adrenaline and excitement, which we calmed while enjoying the sunset on the beach, aware that we must return in time for the new masterful gastronomic pleasure, which took place at Villa Hortens dating from 1912, where Christian's successor, Michael Gollenz, made his debut.

As part of this glamorous program, an exclusive Epicurean Awakening gala dinner under the stars was held on the third day, at the à la carte restaurant Alfred Keller. We melted with every bite, which in the "designed and prepared silence" was actually real music for our palates. We peeked into the kitchen where magic is being created, and I had the pleasure of serving a magical dessert to the ladies at our table together with the kind Peter Schoch.

During our stay on the wonderful island of Mali Lošinj, we immersed ourselves in a luxurious experience of spa rituals enriched with the scents of nature and ancient pines, Blindfolded Concerto no.6 accompanied by the sound of the famous Vienna Philharmonic massage, "breathed life" in pine forests, drank magical beverages at the exclusive Alhambra tea ceremony "Herbes de Losinj", personally honoured, because Melissa prepared them especially for us.

As a wonderful farewell at the end of this fairy tale, for waking up in the morning with champagne bubbles, Christian and his team prepared irresistible specialties at Sparkling Sunday Brunch, with freshly caught seafood and local specialties, enticing us to come back and enjoy the flavours, scents, and the seductive nature hidden by the bay Čikat...

When we want a new extravagant escape from the city, we are sure that the road will take us again to Mali Lošinj and the Alhambra, and with the BMW 440i, no destination is too far...
