EPIC DRIVE WITH ROLLS-ROYCE
Our luxury vacation took us from the Danube metropolis, Budapest, to the Bohemian capital, Prague, providing us with an unforgettable adventure and enjoyment of a unique mix of magnificent nature and impeccable travel, ultimate hospitality and driving on a magic carpet, immersing us in pure luxury.
A true and long-lasting luxury experience with the Rolls Royce Phantom led us to a wine tasting in Panonhalma. A special driving experience in the back seat of this limousine, with a mini fridge where we were greeted by chilled champagne and two elegant crystal glasses, with a favourite movie on pop-out screens, gave us a feeling of comfort, ease and elegance. We had the impression that enjoying the scenery and the silence of the engine, with the massagers relaxing us during the multi-hour ride, was perhaps better than flying in a private jet.
After a wine break, we continued our epic drive from Budapest to Prague in a mystical Ghost, which took us to Brno in glamorous style. This dark knight is perfect for those who enjoy driving and cruising the roads on their own, as much as they enjoy being driven by someone else. We were amazed by both variants, because we both had the opportunity to enjoy behind the wheel in incredible performance, as well as comfort in the back seat.
In front of the Löw-Beer Villa from 1903, based on the project of the Viennese architect, Alexander Neumann, we got the opportunity to enjoy amazing specialties, with a view of this magnificent edifice.
Alfred Löw-Beer, after whom the villa is still named, gave part of the estate to his daughter Greta, where she built a family home with her spouse, Fritz Tugendhat in 1930. The new, modern Tugendhat Villa was created as the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who is one of my favourite architects and idols, one of the reasons why I became an architect. We were delighted with the vision of this unique master of his craft, who modernized the approach to design and expression in architecture, which is still applied today. Tugendhat Villa is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
We experienced the final adventure from Brno to Prague in the Cullinan model, which reassured us why it is named after the largest diamond in the world.
We drove and steered the Cullinan, Rolls Royce's first 4x4 model, very simply, and we didn't even feel all the imperfections and bulges on the road. We drove in peace and comfort over the cobblestones to the garden of the Four Season Hotel Prague, where we tried the best chairs, which opened at the click of a button in the trunk, and enjoyed the view of the Vltava River and Charles Bridge.
Cullinan is a "polished gem" created for us, and for all of you who enjoy life without limits and "know that anything is possible"!
