Hublot and the prestigious boutique Pisa 1940 have joined forces to unveil the exclusive Classic Fusion Pisa 1940 Special Edition, created exclusively for the Milanese store…
Premiered during LVMH Watch Week in January, this special edition pays homage to the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a symbol of Milan’s architectural elegance and cultural heritage.
A Design Inspired by Milan’s Artistic Legacy
The three variations of this sophisticated timepiece—black ceramic, titanium, and the exclusive King Gold—are designed to reflect the spirit of the city of fashion and design. Each model features a 42mm case with a 10.4mm thickness, showcasing polished and satin-finished surfaces that enhance its modern and refined aesthetics.
The most striking visual element is the deep blue sunburst dial, inspired by the intricate glass domes of the Galleria, creating a seamless connection between the watch’s design and Milan’s artistic heritage.
In keeping with a minimalist approach, the dial does not feature a date window, emphasizing a pure, symmetrical design. Chiara Pisa, CEO of Pisa 1940, highlighted that the design was intentionally kept uncluttered to preserve its architectural inspiration. Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, noted that this special edition bridges haute horology and architecture, creating a fusion of innovation with Milan’s rich artistic and cultural history.
Precision & Exclusive Craftsmanship
Beyond its striking aesthetic appeal, the watch boasts technical excellence. Powered by the automatic HUB1110 caliber, the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a 48-hour power reserve, ensuring both precision and reliability.
Its sporty-elegant character is further emphasized by a blue structured rubber strap, secured with a deployant clasp matching the case material.
