Louis Vuitton has unveiled the Montgolfière Aéro desk clock, a true work of art that flawlessly combines luxury watchmaking, jeweler sophistication, and luggage craftsmanship…
This high-value piece, available for $61,500, comes in two versions—one vibrant and one with refined details, perfect for fans of exceptional design and craftsmanship.
The Montgolfière Aéro clock, with a hot air balloon atop the iconic Louis Vuitton trunk, appears as if frozen in time. This unique art piece pays homage to the brand's travel spirit, combining the clock's functionality with the Monogram Flower symbol indicating the hours. Crafted in red and transparent glass with noble wood accents, each version features a Swiss movement by L’Épée 1839.
The red version stands out with its sparkling effects, showcasing the Monogram Flower at the heart of the balloon. The wooden version, although more subtle, reveals its beauty through meticulously crafted details. Limited to just eight pieces, it features an impressive 9.06-carat briolette-cut citrine, whose 80 carefully cut facets refract light like a balloon in flight.
Supporting the balloon, the trunk below exudes Louis Vuitton’s genius in hidden details, reflecting the brand’s early designs with a combination of Monogram canvas and golden brass hardware. Besides the balloon, the clock is adorned with over 1,200 diamonds, while the trunk, a miniature masterpiece, embodies Louis Vuitton’s innovations in diamond craftsmanship.
The Montgolfière Aéro desk clock symbolizes Louis Vuitton’s longstanding connection to adventure and luxury. As early as 1906, Gaston-Louis Vuitton introduced the Malle Aéro trunk, specially designed for balloon travel, which over the years has become a symbol of innovation. This link to balloons, emphasized through various products and installations, has culminated in this exclusive clock, which, due to its uniqueness, has already sold out.
