Renowned American musician Pharrell Williams once again uses his influence for a noble cause, this time through an exclusive collaboration with luxury watchmaker Richard Mille.
Their longstanding partnership, which dates back to 2006, has produced numerous innovative projects, including the spectacular RM 52-05, valued at over $1 million. This time, to honor their collaboration, Richard Mille has crafted a one-of-a-kind RM 65-01 Automatic Split-Seconds Chronograph, which will be auctioned to support Black Ambition, Pharrell’s nonprofit organization.
The Exclusive RM 65-01 Watch
This unique RM 65-01 features a tonneau case made from 18-carat red gold and carbon TPT, with Pharrell’s signature engraved on the back. It comes with a striking red strap, and the auction starting price is $320,000, with estimates suggesting it will fetch between $350,000 and $380,000. All net proceeds from the auction will be donated to Black Ambition, an organization dedicated to fostering economic opportunities and entrepreneurship by providing capital and resources to high-growth-potential startups.
A Technological Marvel
Introduced in 2022, the RM 65-01 Automatic Split-Seconds Chronograph is the most complex watch ever produced by Richard Mille, resulting from five years of development. The watch comprises over 600 components, including the skeletonized RMAC4 caliber, which offers a 60-hour power reserve. Its automatic movement includes a split-seconds chronograph function and a rapid-winding mechanism, making it a technological leader in its category.
