Richard Mille continues to push the boundaries of horological artistry and technical craftsmanship, unveiling four new vibrant versions from the RM 07-02 Automatic Sapphire collection.
This collection, first introduced in 2015, was designed for women who appreciate ultimate luxury and innovative materials. The new editions include two models in vibrant green, one in a fuchsia shade, and the first-ever RM 07-02 in a delicate lilac hue.
Back in 2012, Richard Mille became the first manufacturer to create a watch case from sapphire crystal—a material renowned for its scratch resistance and exceptional durability. The process of crafting these cases is extremely demanding, contributing to their rarity and high price in the world of luxury timepieces. A single case requires nearly forty days of precise machining and finishing to meet the brand’s highest standards.
Each RM 07-02 model impresses with its dial, elevating the art of gemstone setting to a whole new level. Diamonds are paired with gems such as blue sapphires, green tsavorites, mystical opals, and warm-toned orange spessartites and yellow sapphires. The central motif on the dial perfectly connects all elements, creating a dynamic play of light and color.
Housed within the tonneau-shaped case is the CRMA5 automatic skeletonized movement with a power reserve of 50 hours. This sophisticated movement features a variable-geometry rotor that adjusts winding according to the wearer’s activity. The baseplate and bridges are crafted from red or white gold and further decorated with micro-blasting and diamond settings, achieving a unique combination of technical mastery and luxury.
Each model in the new RM 07-02 series will be produced in only seven pieces, underscoring the exclusivity of this remarkable timepiece. Prices have yet to be announced, but there is no doubt these creations will capture the attention of collectors and enthusiasts of prestigious watches worldwide.
